In the competitive wellness market, creating a unique and effective relaxation experience is a challenge. Well.Be aims to differentiate itself by integrating both a physical product and an interactive application that helps users manage stress and emotions. The aim of the project was to develop a holistic, interactive relaxation experience combining mindfulness practices with real-time biofeedback.
As a product designer, I took on the challenge of designing an interactive Well.Be experience. The to-do list included user interface (UI) design, user experience (UX) design, and consultations with a team of specialists for features that improve user relaxation and emotional regulation. Due to the fact that this is a master's thesis project
  • Research and analysis: ๐Ÿ“Š
    User research was conducted through surveys and interviews to understand the needs and preferences of the target audience.Existing wellness applications and devices for biofeedback, massage and relaxation were analyzed to identify best practices and potential areas for innovation.

  • Design and prototyping:๐Ÿ“ฑ
    Mockups and interactive application prototypes were created, focusing on intuitive navigation and calming aesthetics. A user-friendly interface was designed that guided users through various mindfulness exercises, interactive courses, and relaxation techniques.

  • ๐ŸŒŸ Built-in biofeedback integration, where the Well.Be device measured heart rate variability (HRV) during meditation and provided real-time feedback through touch responses, sounds and vibrations.

    Collaborated with developers to plan the implementation of the project, with an eye to seamlessly integrating application functionality such as guided meditations, interactive exercises, articles, podcasts, and playlists.

๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿป The project concept received positive feedback from stakeholders due to its intuitive interface and soothing visual elements, making it easier for users to use relaxation content. The integration of the Well.Be device with the app provided a unique, immersive experience that users found effective in managing stress and emotions. Users have reported noticeable improvements in their emotional well-being, citing interactive exercises and biofeedback as key factors in reducing stress.
โœจ Well.Be successfully stood out at the Young Design competition organized by the Institute of Industrial Design by offering a holistic solution combining physical and digital elements, attracting potential partners interested in integrating similar technologies. Well.Be's master's thesis project, Master of Product Design, Designing for health and wellbeing, showed that I can lead a comprehensive design process ๐Ÿš€, from initial research to final implementation, resulting in a product that significantly improved user experience and engagement in wellness space.
